You are incorrectly infering blame.

Looks like the original mail was to the -announce list, where it was rightly 
moderated out of existance.  Not sure why I missed the repost to the -discuss 
list on the 23rd [1].  My guess is the bogus "forwarded from [higher priority 
list I've already read]" crap caused me to delete it without reading any 
further.
