I'd be especially keen to hear from people using one or more of the
newer window managers instead of a rich 'desktop environment' (DE).

E.g. wmii, ratpoison, ion

Others may be interested in stuff like for dwm which "simplicity,
lacks any configuration interface besides editing the source code" ...
but I'm not, for obvious reasons ;-)
