Short story is that there are two drivers for Broadcom chipsets: b43 which has 
been about for years [originally] based on reverse-engineering, and brcmsmac 
which is Broadcom's eventual attempt at an open source driver.  The former is 
usually the preferred solution, but unfortunately doesn't support your 
chipset.
