[Wylug-discuss] LXDE For Me?

Well, I've finally had enough.
I'm not trying Unity again, unless or until it significantly improves
performance, improves usability and/or every one of my mates tells me
it's worth giving it another shot.
Since it also looks like the pseudo-usability fascists won't let me
have the good parts of old DEs like Gnomes 1+2 or KDE3, I'm giving
LXDE a spin.
I must say, I've enjoyed the first hour ... getting work done without
having to spend any time writing config files is a lot better than
most light window manager set ups.
Don't get me wrong, I actually like editing .rc files when I know what
I'm doing ... I just resent having to do so merely to achieve the most
basic form of functionality.
Anyway, to the reason why I'm posting ... any experienced LXDE users
got tips to save me wasting time trying to discover how to configure
some of the 'just above basic' UI features, e.g. anti-aliased fonts,
custom keyboard shortcuts?
Dave
