With the time lag that all this is taking by the time part X is sourced 
part Y will be obsolete and a new compatible Y will be needed.  This 
will cause a delay and affect finding parts Z as the original Z will be 
out of date and no one will make it.  This reminds me of a rhyme 
involving a bucket, 2 folks and some straw.
