[Wylug-help] Contd: ...my home directory's gone :(

  Now our other system glitches have calmed down I've been able to
read the output from `tail -f /var/log/syslog` as an ordinary user
on the server machine during this. Nothing appears which is relevant
to what I'm doing (well, except the line that records my incoming
telnet). I've flicked through a few manpages and I can't be sure I'm
looking in the right place? :(
