Hi all.
I've got a dialup problem that hopefully someone can help me with.
I've taken an existing pppup script, chat script and chap-secrets
file from my old RH4.0 box and put it on my RH6.1 box at home.
If I try to connect to BT Internet using them, the modem dials out
but pppd fails to establish, complaining about either LCP problems
or noisy line problems.
However, if I set up the same connection using Kppp it connects
first time every time.
Can anyone
1) tell me what could be causing my old method to work
2) how to see what Kppp is doing - how it's calling pppd etc.
If nobody can help, I'll post again tomorrow including the error
messages.
