[Wylug-help] Firewire and Linux

Does anyone have any experoence using Firewire cards on Linux? I've had a look
round andit seems to be fairly well supported, depending on chipset. Does it
work as well as the USB support (which I was impressed by on SuSE 7.3, I
think, when I plugged a Mac-formatted USB harddrive, and it worked pretty
much straight away, after I learned the incantation to summon it.) We're
getting a large FW hard drive for work...
