I've got a box at home and I can connect to my work Linux box using
ssh -X -o ProxyCommand='ssh -p<nnnn> <work.address> nc %h %p' -D1080
walkerd@<work.linux.box>
And then use Mozilla FireBird over the resulting SOCKSv4 connection to browse
as though I'm on work's internal network. Which is nice.
Except it doesn't forward DNS, so I have to put all the internal boxes' (e.g.
printers and whatnot) IP numbers in to connect to them.
Any ideas?
Dan
