The initial boot message - where the discs are identified along with
other kit - does mention LBA so I presume this is OK.

How would I know ? I appear to have reiserfs 3.6.2-31 on my system, but
jfs appears to be running. This is a standard SuSE 8.1 install which I
have not messed with much.

The trouble with doing something right the first time is that no one
appreciates how difficult it was.
