Yes there is.

equate to keying zero, six and four on the numeric keypad whilst holding
down Left-Alt. On the "other" OS, this enters the @ symbol when this
happens because the ASCII code for @ is 64.
Can the X keyboard gubbins be persueded to act in this way?
