I went for one of these in the end.  Quite nice, but I need to enable
plain-text, unencrypted logins to my IMAP server (gah!). At least I can
limit connections to Orange's GPRS gateway, so that's something I suppose.

It's not as big as I thought. I've had Sony and Ericsson phones in the
past before, and it's a real mish-mash of ideas from both companies!

Have you achieved any kind of syncing with Linux, then?
