[Wylug-help] Using tmpfs on /dev/shm

Hi,

After some googling, I've a rough idea about what tmpfs is.  What I can't
find out is why it never seems to be in use on my system.  From df -h:

  Filesystem            Size  Used Avail Use% Mounted on
  tmpfs                 185M     0  185M   0% /dev/shm


That's a very large proprtion of very limited laptop RAM being unused,
or is it?

Could df be kidding me?

Any explanation of what's going on would be appreciated.

If the superficial view is accurate, what do I need to to to get the
kernel/apps to use it?
