My current graphics set up is:
nVidia Geforce FX 5950 (D-sub, DVI, VIVO) card
to a CTX LCD monitor supporting both DVI and D-sub, with a switch to choose
between them.

Using SuSE 9.1 Pro and the nVidia drivers from the nVidia website this setup
works fine once setup with sax with either input method if only one cable is
plugged into the card, if i plug both in then the D-sub seems to take
presedence (DVI just shows "no input signal")

My understanding of the terms are:

DVI - Digital Video Interface - a small mini-scart-like socket used for
feeding a monitor (not seen this on a CRT yet)

Analogue - the D-sub connection

VIVO - Video In Video Out - my geforce came with an adaptor for this with
two pairs of RCA type and sVideo connectors one of each is Video In and the
other is Video Out. I've not had chance to play with this yet.

Hope this is some help :)
Tom
