I think that may have been around the crucial time, Jim.  I have a box
that had an ibm/cyrix 300, which would not accept Mandrake at all, but
I bought an amd400 cpu and installed it.  Due to oddities in the
multipliers it ended up running at a strange speed - something line
418, but it accepted Mandrake 9.1 and runs fine.  That box I'm going to
keep for now.
