Can anyone advise?
I have SuseLinux 9 and was bombing along quite happily.  Turned my machine
off one day and when I turned it on I could not dial up to the internet and
my printer was not working
Went to YAST and fiddled with the printer settings - think I deleted the
entire printer settings and reconfigured - and managed to get the printer to
work again
Cannot get the same with the modem.  Have borrowed another modem and its
still dead.  I get the impression that there is some talking - a light on
the modem goes on and then goes off when YAST does its early run through.
But I cannot get the damn thing to dial
any thoughts?
Could it be that my Kmail is not correctly set up?
Please kkep you advice simple - in works of one syllable.  I am seriously
amatuerish
