Agreed. If none of your filesystems are full, it's possible the prerm
or postrm scripts are borked. If you look under /var/lib/dpkg/info,
you'll find libvideo-ivtv-perl.foo where foo is one of several things
(preinst|postinst|prerm|postrm|list|md5sums|shlibs). If necessary,
you can edit the scripts directly to prevent failure, or run them
directly to test.
