[Wylug-help] tcpdump

Trying to use tcpdump to solve another problem, I get output so full of
control characters it's impossible to read in more, vi, ... Notepad (or
email ;)

I used
/usr/sbin/tcpdump -c 100 -w dump ip dst host [hostname]
And generated the packets from my desktop (the small amount of cleartext
allows me to confirm that)

Any suggestions what might be going on? Have I missed something in the
man page?
