[Wylug-help] USB HID devices in 2.6 compared to 2.4

All,

I have a USB HID device, a wireless keyboard with a built in joystick
mouse.

It works perfectly on 2.4.22, but if I try it on 2.6.9, the joystick
moves the mouse pointer OK, but the mouse buttons don't work. They don't
even trigger any x events in xev.

Anyone got any idea why? Did the USB HID code get an overhaul from 2.4
to 2.6?

It's a BTC 9019URF (quite nice actually).
