No don't do that. AFAIK there are embedded file references in some of the
files which will point to /root/.mozilla which at the very least will be
unwritable - and maybe unreadable depending on the permissions.

If the .mozilla directory does not exist Firefox will create it.

The other probs are lack of the right libs - JH has provided info.
