[Wylug-help] Guarddog firewall

Hi all

I running the "Guarddog" firewall application.

It seems that I can protect my Ethernet LAN connections with it,
but is there any way to protect my dial up connection (which I
use to connect to the Internet) with "Guarddog" ?? 
If not, then is there any other easy way (I am a newbie) to
setup a firewall for my dial up connection?

Also since we are no to the issue of security, is there any open
source virus guard out there??
