Ordering of devices will come down to the order that the kernel modules are
loaded, and I guess that there's no correct order.  I'd have a sneaking
suspicion you're using more than one controller for those 5 disks.  A lot of
motherboards provide a sis raid controller for a couple of sata ports and use
the nvidia one for the other four.
