  While we're on appropriate-looking software, Freshmeat
has a recent announcement for recordMyDesktop here[*0]; it
also records to Ogg-encapsulated Theora-Vorbis video. The
Freshmeat project record for Istanbul[*1] hasn't been
updated for some time - though that's because they've not
been keeping the announcements up to date.

  Incidentally, both projects have low zero-point-
something release numbers, which may sway your decision to
try them out.
