[Wylug-help] Using an .scm plugin

I want to use a gimp plugin that comes as an .scm.  I had this working on an 
old install, but have forgotten what was necessary.  It's obviously an 
executable script, so is it a matter of moving it to the gimp plugin 
directory then setting 'x'?  Or is there more to it?
