[Wylug-help] sound advice

Hi all,

I'm using Fedora 7 with alsa and the via82xx chipset. I'm not able to
get sound as a normal user, only as root. I've added the /dev/snd/*
devices to the audio group, and added myself to the same, but that
didn't fix it either.

When using alsamixer, it can't find the device, and when I'm using
mplayer it errors with something similar.

in /etc/modprobe.conf there is an alias to the snd-via82xx driver.

Any help would be appreciated.
