[Wylug-help] Receiving cron messages

I run several cron scripts to backup parts of my data. On this new laptop I'm
having problems with the generated mail. I have added a MAILTO into each of
my own and root's crontab, though at the moment I'm only concerned with my
owned scripts. Whether I have missed something in the syntax, or whether
there is something else I have to do, I don't know, but currently the cron
messages go into my local mailbox instead of my external address, which the
MAILTO sets. The reason I want to change this behaviour is so that messages
arrive on my mail server, not just on the laptop.

Any idea what I might have missed?
