Hi Trevor,

Can you post the output from running "lspci" in the terminal?

It may be that there is a known issue with the wifi chipset. I had a
similar issue with the wireless in my Dell netbook and I just replaced
the mini-pci card with a different one (10 quid off ebay) and it solved
the problem instantly.
