This looks like you are being asked to set the password?
Given you are not asked for a remote hostname/address, it looks like 
this sets up the user "rsync" with the password you setup so that the NAS 
box acts as an rsync server. 

I've only ever used remote rsync over ssh, where I have ssh access.
