[Wylug-help] Internet access problem

Hi,

During the last week or two our internet connection has been abysmal.

The setup is an Edimax EW-72029APg wireless access point connected to a 
Genius switch and thence to a 486 box running Bering LEAF firewall s/w, 
then to the Virgin Media cable modem and out to the Internet.

Until recently (I won't swear to the couple of weeks period) this worked 
well, but it doesn't any more.

Can anyone indicate what I should be looking for/at?
