[YLUG] File permissions

Good afternoon all,

A question about file permissions if I may. It has been a long time
since I've had to play at any depth with file permissions in Linux but a
situation has cropped up which I need to set some specific permissions
and I can't for the life of me figure it out. I'll probably go doh! when
I see what I've got to do!

Here's the situation :-

I have a folder called foo and various user groups. These groups are
called adminteam, piceditors and picviewers

I want to give adminteam full read write and execute permissions on the
folder foo, piceditors read and execute permissions and picviewers
read-only access.

The owner of the folder is adminteam.

Can I assign different permissions for different groups to the same
folder?

How do I set these sort of permissions under Linux - I look after a
Windoughs Server 2003 network and these permissions are a doddle to set
up on that but I've got a Linux fileserver to play with now and the rust
just won't shift from that bit of my memory!!

TIA

Rob
