I second the Mutt recommendation. It is worth remembering, though,
that some MTA software will not permit MUA specified MAIL FROM (SMTP
envelope sender) addresses to be used until specifically configured
to do so.
For example, users can only set their own MAIL FROM addresses
(regardless of MUA being used) when sending mail via an Exim
installation once added to Exim's configuration as trusted users
(a new Exim installation has no trusted users by default).
