As other's have alluded to, if not clear. You can add 'identities' to
'accounts'.

account settings->manage identities

This adds the identity to the the drop down box, along with the e-mails
of other accounts. I don't think I have as many e-mail addresses as the
original questioner, but the list is still long enough to be confusing
when not fully awake.
