lo' all
Every so often in #ylug someone says 'When is the next meeting?' and
someone eventually organises one.
I was thinking - wouldn't it be better to have regular meetings? I
think this would be particularly good for non ylug members who might
consider coming along who at the moment have a bit of a task involved
in finding out when and where we meet.
My basic idea is:
* meet every 2 weeks
* tuesday was the old date we met so lets keep it the same
* on and off campus
* have talks on campus (venue to be arranged)
* use City Screen for off campus as it works well and is known
* out of term time have meetings maybe every 4 weeks (not covered below)
As such I suggest we meet as follows:
3rd October - Social, City Screen
17th October - Talk, on campus
31st October - Social, City Screen
3rd, 4th, 5th October - Install day(s)
7th November - Talk, on campus
21st November - Social, City Screen
5th December - Talk, on campus
What do y'all think?

"I am a strong advocate for free thought on all subjects, yet it
appears to me (whether rightly or wrongly) that direct arguments
against christianity & theism produce hardly any effect on the public;
& freedom of thought is best promoted by the gradual illumination of
men's minds, which follow[s] from the advance of science. It has,
therefore, been always my object to avoid writing on religion, & I
have confined myself to science." - Darwin
