[YLUG] Advice please! Sound recording software for talks

Thanks guys. I used arecord in the end and it worked great.

I tried audacity first and it did all manner of strange things (like
when click record it would record AND playback what you previously
recorded at half speed simultaneously) before crashing.

This is on Debian testing for those who care about such things.
