Leeds is more than a "regional node" it's one of the 6 major backbone 
nodes in JANET. (T'others being Warrington, Glasgow, Reading, London and 
Bristol)

University of York, the 10Mb at York College of F&HE and the 100Mb to 
York St. John all terminate at Leeds.
