.. should have also mentioned that unless you require multi-user
access to the system over the Internet, a database like MySQL is
definitely overkill and the suggestion to use OpenOffice was a good
'un ;)

Some of the software on Sourceforge looks decent, although it probably
won't do exactly what you want. Joys of writing your own, or crafting
your own little spreadsheet for doing it?
