Just a reminder that we're hosting an open house event tomorrow over on
James Street and there'll be cheap computer equipment for sale in aid of
Macmillan Cancer Support - expect lots of pizza too!

If you plan on attending please RSVP to:

We currently have 20-30 short-depth 1U rack servers fitted with fairly
reasonable processors, mostly Intel Celeron 2.4GHz and Sempron 2400+
although a few Pentium IV 2.8GHz lying in the pack. Mixture of RAM
configurations but 512MB minimum and some machines have 1024MB in.
Around 80% are "working" and seem to boot just fine.

There are also 12-15 full-depth 1U rack servers with hot-swap backplanes
due to go and mostly kitted out with Pentium IVs or Intel Xeons -- again
these aren't particularly "new" but they're good workhorses and will
have between 512MB and 4GB RAM installed in them.

Odds and sods aplenty including CRT monitors. No HDDs with anything
though so you'll have to procure your own IDE drives for them.

Hope to see you there.

Alex
