Hi all,

Well... this about three steps from the edge. Be there on first merge
from Debian after the tool chain upload like some of us. ;-)

Please see the link above as this details some major issues with regard
the beta and what WILL flow into the release i.e. issues with X and the
Intel graphics driver. As an example with default settings an Intel 950
(i915 driver) will perform at around one fifth of the speed it does on
Ubuntu 8.04. A performance increase can be seen using UXA rather than
EXA but this still drops well below 8.04.

Be thoughtful before updating. Don't say you haven't been warned. :-D
