Well if yo want a politicians joke, here's one doing the rounds of the 
USA political in-crowd around Congress at the moment:

God called a meeting of Barack Obama, President of the USA, Li Keqiang, 
Premier of China and David Cameron, Prime Minister of the UK.

They gathered together and God told them "The world is going to end 
tomorrow".

Obama got home, called the TV chiefs and commanded an airing similar to 
the annual State of the Nation address. He told the American people "I 
have some good news and some bad news. We were right, there is a God. 
But the world is going to end tomorrow."

Li Keqiang followed a similar procedure and addressed the Chines people 
thus: "I have two items of bad news. We were wrong, there really is a 
God and the world is going to end tomorrow".

Cameron told us "I have great news. God thinks I am one of the three 
most important people in the world".
