Hi John

I'm wondering if BLUG could possibly help us. Our meeting room booking system 
is on a Linux server which has stopped working so currently we are unable to 
view or access any bookings. This is obviously making it difficult for us to let 
groups use our rooms as we don't know what bookings have been made.  We could 
really do with extracting the data, even if the system itself can't be 
recovered. Our IT support is not very familiar with Linux and has hit a bit of 
a blank.  He says " Its boots but seems to get stuck during the Linux commands 
it runs on startup."  We wondered whether any group members would be able to 
do us a favour and have a look at the server or provide advice on how we could 
access the data. Do let us know if you think you could help and anything we 
would need to do to facilitate this (e.g taking the server to a different 
location or any other costs incurred). If this isn't something that you can 
help with that's perfectly understandable.

Can you copy colleague Peter Horner as I am out of the office from about 3.30pm 
and back in on Thursday. If it is easier to call us please ask for myself or 
Peter Horner
