Well done Gordon,

Great point made about people contributing to the community that we all
benefit from, i think Jason's point is also well worth highlighting as well
that volunteering back to the community can be done in a number of ways.

I would love to have volunteered, however due to family commitments this
leaves me in a position where i could not be able to confirm either way if i
could attend, and i would not be comfortable in volunteering with that
uncertainty. Which is a shame as i believe any opportunity to get involved
in bring Linux to people is a noble and worth while task.

But rest assured Gordon, i hope that your message gains the Akademy some
volunteers, and I'm sure with some of the members being off during this
period (a.k.a students, and yeah i know I'm one to, but my daughters
christening is on the 8th, and i do just have a tonne of family business
that i must attend to) would find being involved behind the scenes of this
event, to be both good experience and fun to boot.

And talking of t-shirts and volunteers, i hope we can get volunteers for the
freshers fair and I'm sure they'll be a special Abertay Linux Society
t-shirt made for it.

Any way good luck Gordon and i hope you get some help.

Catch you later

Arron
