Or use the ubuntu cd which has parts on theopencd and then they can trial
linux as well.

The answer would seem to be here, http://www.theopencd.org/ burn off 
several for the 'Freshers Fair' to give away, even if you don't convince 
those using Microsoft® products to change over to a free system, at least 
they don't have to pay for office suites. I have given one to one of my 
neighbours duaghters but she's off to Aberdeen.
