Fair enough Gordon, but even then some lecturers were using (and teaching) 
specialist applications like tree-puzzle and apbs for hardcore science stuff, 
which could only be accessed via a linux server, and their has always been a 
linux/unix basics module taught.

Just because it's not televised, doesn't mean the revolution is not happening.
