Hi Folks,

I'm assuming folks want me to renew the domain?

I'd like to set up a "website team", to post updates etc. of what the
group is doing and, perhaps, write or find (reproduced with
permission, of course) articles that might be of help to those
venturing into Linux and/or those more advanced but wanting to expand
their knowledge.  If anybody is willing to join that (no need to
commit to any amount of time, just a willingness to help) let me know.

I recall Martin was very keen at one stage to promote Linux
Certification and, indeed, started a course at the ICT Centre when we
still had access to it.  Perhaps we could revisit this, using the
website to complement the "in person teaching" - it may be that more
could be covered in a single session if the information is all there
for "students" to peruse at their leisure later?  I don't know --
Martin might have more idea on this than myself, but I think promoting
Certification would certainly be a good thing for the Group.

Meanwhile, I'd better renew the domain I guess -- but I would like to
see it used more.

Important notice for all .es domains

The .es registry requires for the renewal attempt do be made 15 days
prior to the expiry date. If you do not wish to renew your .es
domains, please select the "allow to expire" option at least 16 days
before its expiry.

Important notice for all .com/ .net/ .org/ .info/.biz domains

Domains that are not renewed 40 days after the expiry date will enter
a period of redemption. This ends 75 days after the expiry date.
During the redemption period domains can be renewed. However, this
will result in an additional charge.

If the domain has not been renewed five days after the end of the
redemption period, it will be available again to the public for
registration.

If you no longer wish to renew your domains, please cancel these in
the control panel by selecting "Allow domains to expire". Our systems
will attempt to renew your domains for you if you chose to store your
credit card details within the 123-reg control panel unless you have
cancelled the renewal. Please note that they will not be renewed until
the last day before the expiry date.

If you do not cancel your domain names and you do not have valid
credit card details in your control panel, your domain name will
expire and will again become available for public registration.
