From my experience, Apache does not run fine on windows, there are always some 
glitches and ditches. Apache2 suppose to, but as I've heard, it doesn't as 
well. Do a quick go-through apache1 sources to find out why. It dies quite 
often when using CGI, because of memleaks, and memory corruption.
