Hey everyone,

First post here (so be gentle), my name's Dave Edwards, I'm a 27 year old
programmer and Web developer from Ledbury and work just the other side of
Stroud.

To give some background of my OS usage, I was solely a Windows user up until
2006 when I started using openSUSE on a Web server. I was then convinced in
2007 by multiple work mates to dual boot my Dell Inspiron with Windows XP
and Ubuntu Gutsy Gibbon which turned me in to a casual Ubuntu user. Since
the release of Ubuntu Jaunty Jackalope (April last year), I have run nothing
else, now have both my main laptop's running it and a netbook with Ubuntu
Hardy Heron. My only Windows machine is my media centre as I haven't found
the time to try and install a Linux media centre on there. No plans to ever
migrate back to Windows as Linux has honestly changed the way I write code
and generally use computers.

I am starting to look at getting involved (albeit at a small level) in the
Ubuntu project as I feel I want to "do my bit".

Hope that gives you a little bit of an insight in to me and what I'm about.
