Hi Sarah, there is no panel with a list of open programs in - you press hold down alt and hit tab to show the list of open programs - you move through the list using more presses of tab - this is part of the security settings - I imagine most schools will be using them on desktops with large screens - but we need to look into netbooks as well.

Pete
I've just downloaded the iso - I'm running it off a usb as discovered I
had no blank dvd discs.
We are around this sunday if you want to come over and copy it to a
stick that's fine

Tony
it looks good even though there is a bit of a problem as you say with
the icons on a small screen - I am running from a netbook
the only problem I had on a first look was
a warning that - " KDE detected one or more internal sound devices were
removed - do you want kde to permanently forget them"
because my screen is so small if I minimized a game it disappeared and I
could not get it back (that's probably me not knowing the right key
combo to retrieve it ) but as there is no bottom bar on your
desktop .png I wonder where do minimised icons show on a larger screen?

I'll have a play around over the weekend -
Sarah
