Dear Tony

As per the meeting last night. I still recommending updating the xfree
engine to a more recent version as there is better gfx card support.

If you are ok to hold back until the next meeting then I will bring with
me mandrake, slackware and gentoo.

A suggestion:  Double-check we were editing the right XF86Config.  Given
it
was ignoring the changes we applied I wonder whether it was reading
another
file.  Also check the system logs for error messages that should exist
if
it was discarding the settings we were trying to use.
