I think it might be worth having a look at the piece about Herefordshire
LUG on just that topic in this month's Linux Format mag. (March 2009
Page 16.)

"....Julian Roberts explained on the LUG's mailing list that the
redesign (of their website) had taken a long time to get started because
HLUG was waiting for the admins at lug.org.uk to modify their DNS
records to point to the new HLUG member-sponsored server....."
