I've just bought a system box pre-loaded with Mandrake 9.2 from CCL.  
It was specified jointly by myself and their one guy who uses SuSE, 
and so far I'm very happy with it.  Letting them build it avoided the 
problem that I couldn't possibly be certain of every component, and 
they have the resources to swap out if necessary.

It's not much - but it's a start.  12 months ago they would not have 
considered it.
